My mission is to help our clients achieve optimal health and wellness through the natural healing of manual therapy. Dr. Andrew Still, a very wise Osteopath, taught a manual therapist was like an engineer to the body. You need to find and remove the cause, then the effect will disappear.
I'm a licensed massage therapist that has specialized in Neuromuscular Therapy to provide a whole body and system approach in order to deeply address a chronic issue. Understanding how the problem started is the first key to fixing it.
Neuromuscular therapy is an approach to soft tissue manual therapy in which quasi-static pressure is applied to soft tissue to stimulate skeletal striated muscle. Often these areas of tissue are myofascial trigger points. The goal is to achieve balance between the central nervous system with the structure and form of the musculoskeletal system. This has proven to help with issues such as fibromyalgia syndrome, migraines, painful periods, digestive issues, brain fog as well as sports related injuries.
It means there are so many different ways to "fix" a joint, or a chronic nerve issue or even chronic muscular problems. I use Myofascial Release, Counter Strain techniques, Muscle Energy techniques, Positional Release techniques, as well as Cranial Sacral to provide a functional and integrative change to your bio-mechanical dysfunction.
Over the last 18 years I have worked to grow my knowledge of these various techniques because each one of them is a deep well of information. You need to have many different tools in your toolbox in order to properly help whoever is on your table at that moment. There is no magic bullet. What I used on one person, may not be what the next person needs.
Know as Frequency Specific Microcurrent. This is a very powerful tool for helping change the behavior of collagen fibers. These fibers are wrapped around not only skeletal muscles but also our organs and blood vessels. Changing this means an immediate opportunity for increased microcirculation and improved lymph drainage. Which in turn can help your supplements and healthy diet get these vital nutrients deeper into your cells where they belong. For more information about FSM got to Frequencyspecific.com
The answer is different for everyone. For example, I may have worked with 4 fibromyalgia cases in 1 day. They may have all presented with the same symptoms. However, how the symptoms developed is different for each person. Therefore, the treatment plan is going to be different for each person. Also, it depends on how long someone has been coping with it and what other disciples of medicine are involved. Rest assured I work hard to make sure you feel a change for the better in 2-3 visits. Then you can decide how many more treatments you need.
Not, yet. However, stay tuned because I'm working on that.
For your first visit I like to take a detailed history of all the adventures you have had in life. Sometimes your current symptoms are due to events that happened many years ago, or even possibly related to birth trauma. I put together a basic treatment plan, which can change according to what your needs are.
Please wear whatever you will be comfortable with. I work on you through your clothing. Many people just wear their workout clothing.
Depending on the treatment plan, many times the answer is no. Gentle walking is fine, but heavy cardio and weightlifting are generally not recommended for 24-48 hrs. post treatment. The reason is because so much is changed during a visit you need time for the nervous system to integrate this new information. It will allow the treatment to hold longer, so greater progress can be made with your health goals.
Yes, depending on their age. I don't work on children under the age of 10. Under the age of 18, I request that a parent or guardian be present at all times in the room with me for the duration of the treatment time.
Yes of course! Let me know what your plans are, and I'll model the treatment to accommodate your needs. It works very well with chiropractic or acupuncture. Or if you're planning on receiving a Myers IV or Glutathione IV, timing is important since this treatment can improve efficacy of the IV by at least 50%.

Yes, it compliments talk therapy quite well. FSM can be used to treat PTSD which will allow you to process information differently to aid your progress with your doctor.
Yes. I have worked on many different issues such as IBS, IBD and Chron's disease. However, IBS and IBD are best handled working in unison with a nutritionist. Chron's is best treated working with your doctor's treatment schedule.
Yes. First, it's important to establish what type of fibromyalgia you have, since according to the Institute of Functional Medicine there are 4-5 different types. We figure out how and when it started, then develop a treatment plan. Again, this type of treatment is best accomplished in conjunction with a nutritionist.
FSM and NMT is a non-invasive alternative rehabilitative, performance enhancing manual therapy. I do not claim to be or use other therapy methods. These methods are not intended to diagnose or guaranteed to treat or cure any disease or physical condition or take the place of one's medical doctor or chiropractor. I am not currently covered by insurance policies or worker’s compensation. I urge you to seek the advice of your doctor first before receiving such treatment as it pertains to your case.
Check out this great video. What a privilege to be a part of his treatment team!! Working on T.O. was like working on a human version of a F1 race car. When he caught the ball, you could see him go into 5th gear. Amazing!
St.Johns School of Neuromuscular therapy, for a certification in Neuromuscular Therapy.
ATI Technical school in Dallas for Certified Medical Assisting, while at the same time I was working in Endocrine and Sports Endocrine Research in order to combine the information to create a new modality of healing.
Combining proper joint decompression and structural alignment in addition to Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) can improve healing time by at least 50%.
Whether it’s surgical recovery, as in my position with Dr. Bloom, or recovery from sports injuries and scar tissue removal, as in my position with Dr. Patterson and Dr. Renna, combining these modalities has been highly effective for prevention of future injuries or for improving and maintaining structural integrity for the prevention of chronic disease.
In addition, I have attended continuing educational seminars on functional medicine, learning nutritional endocrinology and nutritional management for the underlying causes of chronic disease. Various speakers include Dr. Jeff Bland, Dr. Robert Rawkowski, Dr. Robert Roundtree, Dr. Angela Hywood, Dr. Janet Lang, Dr. Brazos Minshew, Dr. Bruce Bond and many more. I also participated in yearly continuing education classes on myofascial release, cranial sacral, muscle energy techniques, positional release techniques. This was accomplished by studying and attending along with Chiropractors and Osteopaths.
We love our clients, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
